A True Blogger Is…

It is a real blow when your blog gets deleted.  You put a lot of time and effort into creating your own little space on the internet.  You develop strong bonds with visitors that choose to interact with you and there is a real sense of camaraderie with your fellow bloggers that you reciprocate links with.

Then one day you wake up and eagerly go online to check your blog in hopes of a new comment and to see how many people visited overnight, and your blog is gone… just like that…

You don’t know why and you don’t know what to do, all you know is that a big part of you was just taken away in an instant. It is very personal.

But you decide that you are going to fight to get it back or begin again.   Your followers will return, your blogging buddies will be behind you 100%.  It will be a lot of extra work, but after it is all said and done, everything will be back to where it was.

But it isn’t that easy unfortunately.  Your blogger buddies have already deleted your link as if you never existed and you have to fight like hell just to get those back.  And that loyal group of followers that used to visit every day?  You’re lucky to get a quarter of them back.

But a true blogger struggles through all this and they deserve our support and admiration.  This list is by no means complete, but here are some fellow bloggers I share links with that have recently gone through this ordeal;

Glad to have you back!

  1. I admire Jeremy de MaleBeauties who succeeded to recreate his blog within 48 hours in ITS ENTIRETY, while so many others certainly recreated a blog but by starting from zéro.
    Has he a magic wand or a process which the others would certainly have liked knowing?
    Amicalement.

  2. Jeremy backed up his blog at the end of January, so he has only lost the posts and comments since then. Brent has detailed different options and instructions here... http://googlebloggerclosesgayblogs.blogspot.com/p/how-to.html

  4. Thanks for the mention, HAWT! I'm having so much technical trouble with Blogger these days (let alone any other kind) that I can barely load my blog, can't always post, and can't always even answer comments. If this comment goes through, it will be an unusually good day!
